BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
If you have ever had the experience of suffering the loss of a family member or other loved one, you know first-hand what
the experience of having to plan for an appropriate way to remember the deceased.  One of the corporal works of mercy is to bury the dead (cf. MT 25:34. Given that the Christian community takes seriously its duty and obligation to the bereaved, St. Agnes parish will explore the formation of a Bereavement Team. The function of this team would be to help the bereaved in many of the aspects of preparing themselves and their loved ones for the Funeral and Burial Rites.  Team members would help families plan the wake and funeral rites, facilitate an after-funeral reception, serve as lectors, EMC’s, Altar Servers, Music Ministers etc.
